Sometimes doctrine is taught better through poetry than prose.
What do you mean “sometimes”? I wouldn’t hesitate at “always”!
And the Cafe piece is truly a beautiful paean to liturgy and to nature.
How frustrating it is to me to see the end of All Souls’ Day in so many places: it’s like a canonization of everyone –which degrades sanctity and makes it something one need not be bothered about….
