I’ve got a new piece at the Cafe today. It’s heading towards Lent and is a quick glance at the Prayer of Manasseh.
It’s sad to me how many of our best canticles are from the Apocrypha and yet these books are too little read and known in our churches. Thus, I threw in a little bit on the Apocrypha as a whole.
A very informative post. In my own practice I use Canticle 14 on all the Fridays of Lent; during the rest of the year (except Eastertide) I trade off with #13.
